Well, I took a little time off from my normal venturing from venue to venue last week so that I could work on some video editing. Which means, I don’t really have much to give you all as far as what really great bands I saw, because I didn’t see any! I do, however have a video of The Folkadelics(http://thefolkadelics.com/) posted on the Lucky Souls site(http://blog.luckysoulsproductions.com/), so check it out when you get a chance.
Since I don’t have much to report, I would like to mention some upcoming festivals that you may want to mark on your calendars. Coming up on May 18th-20th is The 7th Annual Bluegrass on the Bogs(http://bluegrassonthebogs.com/), which takes place at Jellystone Cape Cod at Maple Park(http://www.mapleparkfamilycampground.com/). Yeah, it’s in MA, but well worth the ride & there are even a couple of local CT bands, The NamelessTrio & One Way Track , that will be playing at it. I myself have attended 5 of the 7 yrs that this has been happening & I find it to be the best festival to kick off my camping & festival season every yr.
And, Soupstock Music & Arts Festival(http://www.soupstockfestival.org/) will be taking place once again in Shelton on June 9th. This is the 3rd yr for Soupstock & there will be lots of great live music, vendors, art shows & of course, soup. And all proceeds go to further art, craft & music education for children & young adults. So, save the date & head on down to Soupstock III for a great day with the whole family.
Since I didn’t head out last week or over the weekend for music, that means that it’s been almost 2 weeks since I’ve seen any live music. You can bet this girl is ready to get out this weekend & I’m hoping you all are too, so here are some things that are happening over the next few days:
