About

Boston Calling has earned the praise of over 250,000 fans since its first edition in May of 2013 and has received glowing reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and The Boston Globe for everything from its versatile lineup to its quality of production. Boston Magazine wrote, “In less than three years, Boston Calling has become not just the city’s biggest music festival, but one of Boston’s most iconic events. A three-day party in the heart of Government Center, it’s been a cross-genre, cross-generational success.” Set on a hill in Downtown Boston and with the city’s skyline as its backdrop, Boston Calling’s locale at City Hall Plaza continues to offer the ideal urban festival vibe. Production highlights include two primary performance stages with non-overlapping sets, festival-wide beer experiences from the locally founded and based Samuel Adams, a food pavilion comprised of locally and nationally known food vendors, along with world-class lighting, special effects and design. Boston Calling also features a VIP component whereby VIP ticketholders have access to City Hall Courtyard, a 25,000 square foot Mezzanine offering prime views of both stages as well as curated food menus and amenities.

Watch This recap from Sept 2015

Some of our favorite photos from May 2015 are included in this “Best of” montage.

Lisa Sanchez Gonzalez – lsg Original

Lover of music and the visual arts, Lisa Sanchez Gonzalez is the insanity behind lsg original photography. lsg specializes in artist and performer photography. She’s had the honor of photographing national bands such as Weezer, Snoop Dogg, A Simple Plan, Paramore, Whitesnake, Wye Oak, and The Antlers along with countless local bands and performers.

Hailing from Hartford, CT, Lisa is a life- long music connoisseur. Growing up, her mother exposed her to everything from The Stones to Simon and Garfunkel to Earth, Wind, and Fire to Loretta Lynn…and everything in between. No genre was left unexplored in her vinyl collection. She saw her first concert at 14…Rod Stewart at the (then called) Hartford Civic Center. Thirty years later, it’s still her favorite pastime.

Lisa has two kids (grown!) and a day job. Her loves of music and photography have melded into a second career. And her love of CT keeps her promoting and pushing for local artists and performers. Lisa spends the greater part of her free time seeing and shooting live bands, performers, and artists and art work…and purchasing vinyl!
