Klokwize The Superhero Tapes

     Featured Artist – 10.30.2016

LBR has been following Klokwize’s career for many years.  He’s a staple in the Connecticut hip-hop community.  He’s an artist known for live band-infused hip hop music.  Probably most recognized for the use of his hit singles on national television (ESPN’s ‘First Take’, The X-Games) and in feature films (‘Rising Star’, available on Amazon Prime), Klokwize is also a viral favorite of many sports fans for his popular ‘First Take Freestyle’ video segment on ESPN’s YouTube channel, which has clocked over 20,000 views.

He has shared the stage with music stars such as Tyga, Fat Joe, Obie Trice, Doug E Fresh, Cormega, Pacewon, Black Rob, The Sugarhill Gang, Living Colour, Hed (pe), Rehab, 2 Pistols, Fear Nuttin’ Band, The Alchemystics, Roots of Creation and more.

Recently, his song “The Rush” was featured on ESPN’s “The First take” and his latest single, “If You Only Knew” was debuted on “The Trendahholic”.  Both songs come from his album “The Superhero Tapes”, released this year, and can be found on Soundcloud, among other music distribution sites.

Lover of music and the visual arts, Lisa Sanchez Gonzalez is the insanity behind lsg original photography. lsg specializes in artist and performer photography. She’s had the honor of photographing well over 100 national bands such as Pearl Jam, GHOST, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Teen, Lindsey Stirling, Cage the Elephant, Vance Joy, Panic! At the Disco, Finger Eleven, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, In This Moment, King Diamond, Heart, Tenacious D, Lucius, Tove Lo, TV on the Radio, Judas Priest, Weezer, Snoop Dogg, A Simple Plan, Paramore, Whitesnake, Wye Oak, The Antlers and so many more along with countless local bands and performers.

Hailing from Hartford, CT, Lisa is a life- long music connoisseur. Growing up, her mother exposed her to everything from The Stones to Simon and Garfunkel to Earth, Wind, and Fire to Loretta Lynn…and everything in between. No genre was left unexplored in her vinyl collection. She saw her first concert at 14…Rod Stewart at the (then called) Hartford Civic Center. Thirty years later, it’s still her favorite pastime.

Lisa has two kids (grown!) and a day job. Her loves of music and photography have melded into a second career. And her love of CT keeps her promoting and pushing for local artists and performers. Lisa spends the greater part of her free time seeing and shooting live bands, performers, and artists and art work…and purchasing vinyl!
